Business is, above all, about trust. And that isn’t built in a court of law, but between people.

At Asental, Jaroslav is responsible for developing business opportunities and identifying new avenues that bring long-term value to the company. His career path has combined a legal education with a business mindset, and it is precisely this combination that helps him find solutions which are not only legally sound but, above all, make sense to people and to the region as a whole.

He says with a smile that he is a lawyer with a business mindset, or perhaps a businessman with a lawyer’s mind. Over the years, he has found that the best deals are not struck in courtrooms, but around a table. He believes in open dialogue, fair dealings and relationships built on mutual respect. He therefore views every business opportunity not only as an investment, but also as a chance to contribute to the further development of the Moravian-Silesian Region, to which he has been firmly connected all his life.

He comes from the Hlučín area and has never stopped regarding his home as a place worth developing. He believes in the future of the Ostrava and Karviná regions and enjoys being part of projects that drive the region forward.

When he puts his work phone aside, he becomes, first and foremost, a dad. He is the father of five children and says, with a sense of humour, that with every new child he tries to be a better parent. He says he’s still practising. Family is his greatest value in life, which is why he loves nothing more than setting off on trips together in their caravan, discovering new places and spending time in nature. It is there that he finds peace, inspiration and the energy for his next professional challenges.

He lives by two simple rules:

“Practice makes perfect.”
“The path to success is lined with failures. The important thing is always to get back up and do better.”

And he brings exactly the same approach to his work – with humility, determination and the belief that true value is built over the long term.
