Havířov
Havířov, the youngest town in the Czech Republic, is currently undergoing a fundamental transformation from a traditional region into a modern, clean and technologically advanced place to live. For future residents, it offers the ideal balance between urban convenience and the natural environment. It is designed with generous green spaces, wide boulevards and a full range of amenities within walking distance. With the ongoing decline of heavy industry and a massive influx of innovation, its appeal to both investors and residents is rising sharply.
Extensive modernisation and development:
The city is currently investing hundreds of millions of crowns in the regeneration of residential neighbourhoods, the modernisation of inner courtyards, the expansion of parking facilities and the development of infrastructure for electric mobility.
The region’s green transition:
The largest urban energy-saving project (EPC) in Moravia and Silesia is successfully underway in Havířov. Insulating buildings, modernising district heating systems and installing solar panels are significantly reducing emissions and improving local air quality.
Unique urban planning (Sorela):
The architecturally significant city centre is a protected heritage zone. Unlike modern satellite towns, Havířov offers a perfectly planned network of schools, nurseries, healthcare facilities and shops right on your doorstep.
Strategic location:
Excellent transport links to Ostrava and neighbouring towns combine with quick access to the Beskydy Mountains and the recreational areas around the Těrlická and Žermanická reservoirs.
A city surrounded by greenery
One of Havířov’s greatest assets is its abundance of parks, woods and recreational areas.
Among the most popular are:
- Stromovka Forest Park
- Lučina Park
- The meanders of the River Lučina
- cycle paths towards the Těrlická Dam
- the proximity of the Beskydy Mountains
Havířov is one of the towns with a high proportion of green spaces, which significantly improves the quality of everyday life.
The Těrlická Dam is within easy reach
Just a few minutes from the town centre lies the Těrlická Dam – a popular spot for swimming, paddleboarding, sailing, cycling and relaxing by the water.
For many residents, it offers the chance to spend their free time by the water without having to travel far.
