Beats for Love

The Beats for Love music festival has long since transcended the boundaries of a conventional music festival and has become one of the key drivers of cultural, community and economic development across the entire Moravian-Silesian Region. As the largest festival of its kind in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, it transforms the unique industrial site of Dolní Vítkovice into a vibrant centre of European culture every year. This massive influx of tens of thousands of visitors from both home and abroad provides a significant boost to the local economy, directly benefiting local hotels, restaurants, transport operators and other service providers in Ostrava and the surrounding area. At the same time, thanks to the regular participation of the very best acts on the global music scene, the festival firmly establishes Ostrava on the map of major European cultural capitals.

In addition to its economic and cultural benefits, the festival also has a profound community and charitable dimension, which demonstrably helps people directly in the region. Through the long-term ‘Beats for Charity’ initiative, the organisers actively support people facing difficult life circumstances and regional institutions, whether this involves funding complex rehabilitation programmes for specific sick children from the region or working closely with the Blood Centre to promote voluntary blood donation. This is precisely why Asental has become a partner of the Beats for Love festival. We believe that, in addition to a strong commercial base, a successful and prosperous region also needs a vibrant cultural life and a strong, cohesive community.
